Review of “Untwine”

I finally got done with an amazing book called Untwine by New York Times Bestselling Author and National Book Award Finalist, Edwidge Danticat. Here is my review.

Giselle and Isabelle Boyer have been best friends since they were born. That’s because they are twins. When Giselle, Isabelle, and the rest of their family are going to Isabelle’s music recital, everything falls apart. Giselle wakes up in a hospital room without her family or her sister and she will have to remember everything and everybody that loved her. Is her family okay? Is Giselle okay?

My favorite characters had to be Aunt Lesile and Giselle because Aunt Lesile was a doctor and Giselle really cared about her twin sister.

I like the part towards the end when Giselle and Tina, Giselle’s best friend, were in Haiti for Giselle and Isabelle’s 17th birthday with Giselle’s family when they were outside and they said goodbye in two different parts. (If you are wondering how to do that, one person says good and another person says bye. In the book, Giselle says it makes the goodbye seem even longer.)

I would rate this book 4.5 stars. It was a great book to read!

I would recommend this book to anybody that has a twin. Even if you don’t have a twin, this book is still perfect for you.

Well, that’s it! That’s my review. Check out this awesome blog for more book reviews, book giveaways, author spotlights, and more! You can also check out their review of Untwine here!
