2016 RDMA’s Recap

Hello! I am so glad that I watched the RDMA’s yesterday night. It was a special encore presentation on Disney XD and I got to see it all go down. This recap is going to be the winners and all of the performances that went down on Sunday. Ready to see all of the action unfold right here? Well, here we go!

Also, I am color coding everything like I do with all of my awards posts. The ones I voted for will be in pink and the winner will be in purple.

Now for one of the greatest parts of an award show, the performances! What is an award show without performances? Here are all of the performances at the RDMA’s.

Honestly, Sofia’s performance had to be my favorite out of all of them. The choreography was amazing and she rocked it! I was just fangirling the whole time she was on stage.

Sabrina’s performance was the bomb! It was super great for the RDMA’s and the fiery background and her beautiful dress fit in very well with her performance.

Laura Marano’s performance of her debut single, “Boombox,” was amazing! She was amazing on the RDMA stage just like Sofia and Sabrina. Can I just mention that they were definitely squad goals?!

Hailee Steinfeld was joined on the RDMA stage by DNCE’s Joe Jonas! This was a fantastic performance from the singer/actress, Hailee Steinfeld. She also sang her song “Love Myself” and “How I Want Ya” along with Hudson Thames!

Flo Rida sings his hit song, “My House,” on the RDMA stage! The song was perfect for the show because the RDMA’s are the home for the hit family music award show, The Radio Disney Music Awards!

Ariana Grande performed at the RDMA’s in 2014 when she debuted her single, “Problem,” on the RDMA stage. This year, she topped her performance with her song “Dangerous Woman.” Congrats Ariana for giving an amazing performance!

Gwen Stefani received the Hero award at the RDMA’s and she gave a surprise performance of her song, “Make Me Like You.” It was a fantastic performance and everybody looked like they were having a great time!

I don’t think we have ever seen a never before seen mashup of two great songs on the RDMA stage, but now our wishes have been granted! Radio Disney Country artist Kelsea Ballerini and Daya hit the stage singing “Peter Pan” and “Hideaway!”

Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson hit the stage singing her song, “Never Forget You.” Her performance was so good that she sang her parts and MNEK’s parts! How cool is that?! That is something to be proud about!

Last, but not least, can we have a little cake by the ocean? DNCE finished off the night with an amazing performance of their hit song, “Cake by the Ocean.” This song is such a hit on Radio Disney, it was on the charts for 23 weeks! Again, that is something to be proud about!

That is the whole entire recap everyone! Happy National Star Wars Day and may the 4th be with you.

Also, check out this super fun video from backstage at the RDMA’s! Come back soon for another post about RDMA fashion! Bye!
